Maya Mountain was founded on the idea that we can source direct, cut out the middle men, and pay above fair trade wages to Belizean farmers.
More Than Fair Trade
We began working in remote villages in 2017 on sustainable food projects with schools and families, small business development, and educational sponsorships through our mission arm Sowing Seeds in Belize.
We saw a great opportunity to extend the scope of this work by developing distribution avenues for the premium spices, coffee, seeds, oils, cacao and other pure foods growing in the rich volcanic soil of the Maya Mountains.
Farmers struggle to make a viable living because of the many challenges they face: no transportation, no strong market for their goods in country, and no resources or education on how to secure distribution elsewhere.
With some quick and intense research, Maya Mt. Coffee & Spice Co. was established and the foundation was laid to purchase and export these amazing jungle products.
not business as usual
Not only is Maya Mountain Coffee & Spice Company committed to bringing you the purest and freshest products, we are also committed to working with the farmers providing needed training and resources to help their farms flourish.
